They reckon the ERG system is pretty good, if a little held together with gaffa in some places. The issues they had Melbourne were mainly caused by the trams - a non-constant power supply (constant surges, you might say) played hell with the electronics. I am surprised the Government didnt give the contract to ERG. You'd think they would support local industry... I have worked with people who worked at ERG.
