So I was pleased to see an ad in today’s paper announcing (town crier style!) the findings of the panel investigating the idea of bringing water to Perth from the Kimberley. Strangely enough, they exposed this plan as the obscene waste of money that it is. Hopefully this will put paid to some of the people who keep harping on about this.

Then again, even I have my doubts about the independence of the panel — there definitely seemed to be a sense of findings having been written before the investigation started. So maybe I won’t stop hearing pipe dream stories … sigh.
