Wishing I was in NYC right now …

Reasons to get an E-3 visa and move to New York, no. 73: the new, shiny, and enormous Apple store that never closes.

Although I’d probably never buy anything from it, that glass cube is just so very cool!

(In other Apple news, the new TV ads must be up there with the best they’ve ever done — so much so that CAD’s spoofed them, albeit with a tired and easily-disproven line. Also, I must admit to being very tempted by the new MacBooks …)

The view from the other side

Although Alinta and AGL have agreed to a friendly merger deal, they did so after announcing their aggressive takeover bids and so, under the rules, each still has to send out offer documents to the other’s shareholders.

We received our AGL offer document yesterday, and it harps on about how AGL has millions of customers in the eastern states while Alinta only has customers in WA (although it has a stranglehold in WA, unlike AGL o’er east). To illustrate this, they included a map.

WA as featured in the AGL offer document for Alinta

Wow. I didn’t know WA was so small.
