They used to deviate down our street every half-hour from 9am until 4.30pm. Then it was 2.30pm, now it's every hour from 9.30am until 2.30pm. Of course because it isn't part of the 'standard' route new drivers often miss it leaving passengers stranded for an hour or forced to walk ten minutes to the next stop (not good if you're pregnant or injured, as what happened to one passenger I know who subsequently missed a vital medical appointment). The removal of the deviation saves them about one minute from the overall journey. I expect they'll remove it completely within the next year. Yep, our service was cut back a few years ago.
